Save the Date! SUNDAY JANUARY 12!
Please Join Us -- ASIAN WOMEN AGAINST WAR -- in a forum against war. The purpose of the event is to bring together Asian women in New York City who oppose the war to discuss the legacy of war that is part of our own personal histories, and build unity on why we, as Asian Women, must oppose the U.S. war in the Middle East. We hope to strategize about how we can reach even broader sectors of our community with our message for peace, and build momentum to contribute our united voice to the larger movement against war.
Notable activist speakers such as,
o Sary Som - CAAAV Organizing Asian Communities
o JooHyun Kang - The Audre Lorde Project, Racial Justice 911
o Shamita Das Dasgupta - MANAVI
will be present as well as spoken word from Ishle Park and performances from Korean drummers and Kingding Sindaw, a Filipina cultural troupe.
